Lululemon Buying Tips

Another obsession I have recently is Lululemon. I don’t exercise (except for the occasional rock-climbing and bringing the kids to the playground). I used to think they are such overpriced leggings famous just for their logo on the back. I was so wrong. I was doubtful when the educator handed me a pair I thought was too tight for me. To my surprise, they were supportive and comfortable. I was an instant convert with the leggings but not so much the price. I didn’t see the point of paying so much when I am not a leggings wearer. I was a firm believer of leggings are not pants until … ahem … I tried Lululemon leggings. So what did I do? I started finding ways to buy Lululemon for less (than Singapore retail price).

  1. Lululemon has sale items in store but they are scattered on different racks around the store. Don’t be afraid to ask an educator for which items are on sale. They are very helpful and would find you the perfect pair within your budget.
  2. The sale section for Lululemon online is called “We Made Too Much”. I check this very often.
  3. Lululemon Hong Kong‘s website has free shipping to Singapore. They had 11.11 sales where I snagged the Reversible Align Bra for HKD150. I always use ShopBack to get additional savings of up to 25%.
  4. Based on the current exchange rate, there are some savings to be had even after factoring the freight forwarding cost when paying full price for purchases from Lululemon Australia. For example, a pair of black Fast and Free Reflective High-Rise Tight 25″ cost A$139 (approximately S$128). I used BuyandShip and paid S$7 for shipping, paying a total of S$135, which is more than 35% off compared to buying from Lululemon Hong Kong where it is HKD1,180 (approximately S$211).
  5. The sale on Lululemon Canada can be quite good as well. I got my first pair of Invigorate leggings for CAD59 + taxes + freight forwarding. It came up to about S$80.

If you are looking to save money on Lululemon, I hope this helped.
